THANK YOU
Pedal4Charity 2011 was a huge success, and a lot of fun for everyone involved.
A massive thank you to everyone involved in Pedal4Charity 2011: around 250 riders - 70 registering on the day itself; our volunteer helpers and marshalls; our generous sponsors; all the staff at the Cricketers, who - as well as working tirelessly throughout the week - donated Sunday's tips to the Hospice; and, of course, everyone who turned up to support our three events.
All proceeds go Woking and Sam Beare Hospices
based in Woking & Weybridge and covering a wide area of Surrey, incorporating the Boroughs of Woking, Surrey Heath, North Guildford, Runnymede, Elmbridge, and Spelthorne
Woking & Sam Beare Hospices provide a palliative care service to the community including In-patient Units, Day Care Units, Community Macmillan Nurses, Counselling Team, Chaplaincy Team, Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists.
This vital service costs in excess of £5.4million per year to run and the hospices are therefore dependant on the community they serve to fund our essential work.
They need this amount to continue to provide the ongoing specialist care and support for patients and their families
